Pompsicle!

An ageless question.

Started by Ben Walker in Sacramento, Pompsicle is a figure drawing group using costumed models. Ben’s battle cry is “Naked is Boring!” and while I don’t entirely embrace that as a life philosophy he has proven that when it comes to figure drawing the clothes make the man (or woman, alien, superhero…).

Ben has relocated to San Francisco and rumor has it that Pompsicle is incubating there. Meanwhile, in Sacramento, Ryan Cicak carries the torch with regular sessions at swanky locations around Sacramento. This group has been a huge inspiration to me and I’m grateful it carries on.
