This year marks the 5th Anniversary of Sacramento’s In The Flow Festival. The lauded young improvisational music & art festival features jazz, rock, poetry/spoken word, electronic and blues this year.
I am lucky enough to have a few pieces in the art show this year, which is a huge honor for me! There is going to be some incredible musicians performing, including the Broun Fellinis and Harley White, Jr. Don’t miss out.
Another new painting, this one is kind of stabby.
New painting of Patsy Cline now up for viewing (see it now). Her voice was so sad and her lyrics so dysfunctional, it’s hard not to feel moved when you hear “Crazy” or “Walking after Midnight” but I also can’t take her too seriously either for some reason. Her music is such a thing of another time it’s hard to avoid feeling that it’s almost campy.
In case you have never listened:
Crazy
Walking After Midnight
Anyway, take a look at the painting. It might be a salve for your loneliness.
Please stay tuned for info on prints and where it may hang.
Big thanks to Matt Verdolivo for taking pictures. Check out his stuff too, but only if you’re up for something amazing:
Thank you to Temple Coffee and everyone who supported the show
The paintings are down and Temple has a new show going up. It was a terrific experience for me and I’m humbled by the response. Please check back for my next event.
In the mean time, go visit Temple for some great coffee and take a look at the newest art. And, get out and support local art and music!
