Goodbye to a powerful imagination
Very saddened to hear of the passing of Maurice Sendak. His works were childhood favorites of mine and have been favorites of my children in turn. Like so many others, I was inspired by his reverence for the fire of youth, which as an adult I understand is even more rare in the world than it seemed when I was a child.
Goodbye, Mr. Sendak. You left this world a better place than you found it.
